Resort wear 2024

As the days warm into Summer, our sartorial journey takes us through the vibrant streets of Colombia, sun-drenched Italian seaside villages, and the calm beaches of the Caribbean. Where our favorite resort wear collections of 2024 invite us to embrace the bold, the colorful, and the textured.

This season’s palette is playful, and lively. Bright primary colors like cobalt blue, emerald green, and candy apple red take center stage, while earthy tones ground collections, allowing brighter shades to pop.

Relaxed, feminine silhouettes define the mood. Flowing dresses, wide-legged pants, and airy skirts offer ease of movement. Textured fabrics—linen, raffia, and crochet—add depth, while artisanal details like embroidery and fringing highlight craftsmanship.

Johanna Ortiz

Johanna Ortiz’s designs are a vibrant tapestry of colors and print that detail the eccentricity of her travels. The Colombian born designer is renowned for her ability to mix patterns, and textures in her collections to capture the spirit of a destination.

The Port Maria collection, inspired by the Caribbean coastline, is a symphony of deep reds, burnt oranges, and earthy tones. The colors infuse her latest range with the warmth of sun-kissed sands, the rhythm of island life, where the sunsets are as vivid as her palette. Each piece, a tale of palm-fringed beaches, kaleidoscope streets, and the infatuating energy of the tropics.

Wear the Mother of All Waters dress to Palm Heights, Cayman Islands. Spend your vacation lazing poolside in Johanna Ortiz, on the chic sun loungers of the famous Caribbean hotel. Where the hotel’s interiors are as impeccably designed as your outfit, you’ll find a perfect harmony of style and setting.

For those balmy summer evenings, look no further than the Sorrento scarf top and wrap skirt. The lightweight fabric drapes beautifully, while the asymmetric neckline adds a touch of sophistication. Pair it with strappy sandals and you’re ready for a romantic dinner by the coast.

Ristorante Sant'Andrea in Taormina is an idyllic spot for a sunset date in Sicily. With breathtaking views, delicious cuisine, and an ambiance that perfectly complements SIR.'s latest collection. Each garment is painstakingly hand crafted. The brand's commitment to quality is evident in their meticulous detailing, from their embroidery to their personalized packaging.

Their latest collection - Alma is a celebration of natural beauty. The Lima mini habitat dress is a stand out piece from the Alma collection, with over 16 hours spent on hand-embroidery for each garment. The floral motif, tiered skirt, and feminine design are reminiscent of sun-drenched, carefree days, encapsulating the joy of Summer in every stitch.

Wear the Lima minidress against the backdrop of the Italian Riviera, at Passalacqua where luxury and nature coalesce against breathtaking backdrops.

ESCVDO

Founded by sisters Chiara and Giuliana Macchiavello, ESCVDO distinguishes itself through its unique artisanal textiles. Each piece from ESCVDO not only showcases the beauty of Peruvian tradition but also embodies the brand’s core values of community engagement, and fair trade.

The Spring/Summer 2024 CAMINO collection marks a creative journey of remembrance,  influenced by Peru’s diverse geography and cultural history. It continues the exploration of Afro-Peruvian heritage, a vibrant thread woven into the brand’s identity. ESCVDO’s CAMINO collection features zero-waste garments and organic fibers, all designed in a palette inspired by the Peruvian coast’s deep blues, greens, earth tones, and the traditional attire’s pinks and reddish browns.

Their Santeria Crocheted Organic Pima Cotton Mini Skirt is a celebration of ESCVDO’s fusion of texture and color. Perfect for the eclectic streets of Puerto Escondido, where surf culture and modern bohemia collide, this skirt is a wearable piece of art.

Silvia Tcherassi

Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi has drawn inspiration from style icons Jackie Kennedy and Marella Agnelli for her Spring/Summer '24 collection. Tcherassi's designs reflect a blend of Truman Capote's high-society swans and the exuberant energy of Latin American fashion.

The Spring/Summer 24 collection is a modern homage to mid-century glamor, featuring soft tailoring in delicate silks, laces, chiffons, and brocades. The color palette transitions from Jackie's iconic neutrals to the vivid hues of Gloria Guinness's Latin legacy.

The 'Balerina' dress, with its slim A-line silhouette, hand-embroidery, fringed trim, and tied rope straps, is the epitome of Slim Aaron’s inspired style. It's a versatile piece that's perfect for sunset drinks at Florie’s, or a day at the beach club in Palm Beach. Pair it with strappy sandals or ballet flats to go straight from the beach club to dinner.

Faithfull The Brand

Born from a serendipitous friendship, Faithfull The Brand is the brainchild of Australian Sarah-Jane Abrahams and Norwegian Helle Them-Enger. Their designs blend vintage-inspired prints with timeless structure that captures the spirit of travel and adventure.

The Spring 2024 'Roma' collection pays homage to Rome's history and architecture, marrying warm, neutral hues with new fabrications inspired by retro 70s silhouettes.

A collection standout, the Bellini Maxi Dress, rendered in soft silk crepe, is a testament to the brand's ethos. With a boat neckline, long relaxed sleeves, and a waist tie finished, embodying the collection's spirit of nostalgic style.

Perfect for elevated evening wear or a sun-soaked soiree, the Bellini is ideal for swanning around The Hoxton Rome. The versatile design makes it easy to go straight from long Italian lunches at the hotel's restaurant, Elio, to evening gallery openings nearby.

Christopher Esber

Since its inception in 2010, the Australian label Christopher Esber has redefined contemporary tailoring. Esber's sophisticated approach combines traditional techniques with a mastery of construction, pushing boundaries with experimental cut-outs, and draping. His collections are a testament to quality and innovation, offering luxurious yet wearable pieces that adapt to the wearer's individuality.

The Spring Summer 2024 collection embodies a primal energy, exploring the tension between fragility, and strength. A connection to nature is evident in the naturalist, weathered textiles and tactile textures like tassels and fringe.

The palette is a nod to the earth itself, with heavy use of stone and sand tones, against pastel splashes of butter yellow, and pistachio.

The 'Vivenda' jersey maxi dress is a highlight of the collection. The dramatic cutout and twist-front top contrasts with the gathered skirt, while the fluid jersey and draping emphasize movement.

The Vivenda maxi is perfect for an evening dinner at Esperanza Resort’s Cocina Del Mar, in Cabos San Lucas. Where the dramatic silhouette can shine against the backdrop of the rugged cliffside.
